What People Are Saying

Jamie worked with the team to redesign our EYFS curriculum. His training was extremely well planned - based on evidence and current best practice. Therefore, his steps in redesigning the curriculum had clear rationale and were easy to follow. He tailored his training to our needs and quickly built good relationships with the team which meant we worked quickly as a team with a new shared understanding.

Jamie led some excellent INSET training on curriculum planning with a specific focus on the key knowledge that is needed in science lessons. The day was engaging, thought provoking and ensured our teachers reflected on their current practice. He offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his own school leadership experience and his consultancy role. Jamie will be coming back later this term to see how the school has progressed with science alongside our science subject leader.

Jamie has also supported school leaders in our evaluation of the school. He challenged school leaders in a supportive way ensuring our written statements were clear, concise and evaluative.’

Jamie carried out a highly informative and supportive INSET day at the beginning of our school year with our subject leaders, many who are new to subject leadership. The INSET was extremely helpful in supporting teachers in their understanding of their subject leadership role and in enabling them to identify next steps. Jamie provided a wealth of resources as part of the session as well as giving helpful feedback and guidance to the senior leadership team. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Jamie back to the school next term to help us to review our progress within this area.

Jamie went above and beyond sharing his knowledge and expertise to develop various subject leaders. He communicated brilliantly with everyone and is definitely not a clock watcher as he stayed until the job was completed and finished. The impact of his work was instant with staff being confident to deliver training and launch initiatives to improve outcomes for pupils.

Working with Jamie was an absolute pleasure. He is an extremely knowledgeable educational consultant who has extensive experience as an outstanding school leader. Through a packed day of lesson observations, planning reviews, book looks and discussions, Jamie’s astute insight was delivered in a calm and supportive manner.  His knowledge and understanding of the most recent educational research enabled him to provide me with some ‘quick wins’ as well as a pathway for longer term school improvement, signposting me to resources and external support to aid me in planning the way forward.

Whilst I was left with a lot to think about, Jamie made time to check in regularly as to how I was and he has continued to provide support following his visit. If you are looking for an external lens to guide you in moving your school forward, Jamie’s friendly, reassuring and extremely professional approach will support you in calmly and strategically identifying the next steps.
