What People Are Saying

Over the last eighteen months, Jamie has been instrumental in helping to improve the teaching and learning, leadership and the school's curriculum. His regular visits ensured school leaders and middle leaders were challenged in a supportive way, allowing them to reflect on current practices, think strategically and plan for future actions.

The leadership team demonstrated confidence and clarity during our most recent inspection (February 2025), with a strong grasp of our priorities and next steps. This has been the best ongoing professional development I have had as a head in fifteen years.

Jamie has worked with each of our schools across the federation supporting our school development journey. His knowledge, advice and insights have both validated, supported and challenged our thinking all done in a very collegiate way. Following each visit, the school leadership teams have always left the day with a clear understanding of our next steps. We have particularly found Jamie’s advice supportive due to him sharing practical examples of what has worked well in other settings and schools.

Jamie has provided invaluable advice and support for our federation’s curriculum refinement and alignment project, identifying what key learning we want our pupils to take from each lesson. His introduction to Artificial Intelligence to enable us to use AI to support this project is revolutionary. We know this work will have a positive impact for our schools, pupils and teachers.

Working with Jamie has been transformational for our school community and for my practice as a headteacher of nearly ten years. Jamie has a human, approachable nature and a willingness to ‘get his hands dirty'. He works directly with staff at all levels, engaging in meaningful conversations that build trust and understanding across our entire school community.

What sets Jamie apart is his deep understanding of foundational knowledge and skills across the early years and key stage 1. He challenges us appropriately, pushing our teaching practices forward while ensuring every recommendation is grounded in educational research and practical application.

Not only was his detail-oriented approach invaluable in our preparations for external review, it made our school a better place to be for our children because his work consistently focuses on what matters most - ensuring every child receives an outstanding education.

I’d highly recommend Jamie for any school seeking transformational partnership.

Simon Sharp, Headteacher, Fetcham Village Infant School, Surrey

Jamie has provided invaluable support in reviewing our provision for SEND across Fern Hill Primary School, at a time where needs are increasing against a landscape of reduced funding. Working empathetically and in collaboration with leaders, Jamie offered expert insights, challenge and advice. He swiftly identified both strengths for us to build upon and areas where we must develop staff expertise further. Harnessing a wealth of ideas, and a plethora of resources Jamie has shared, we are in a far stronger, more confident position to respond to the ever increasing complexity of need in our community.

Jamie has been instrumental in developing our curriculum through working with subject leaders, to leading training for all class teachers and HLTAs. Thanks to the support from Jamie, our school’s offer has developed and gone from strength to strength, resulting in a successful Ofsted inspection. He has worked with school leaders and adapted his offer to ensure impact on the children’s learning and value for money. Most recently, his focus on task design has ensured that learning activities are linked to the core knowledge being taught and staff have appreciated his guidance and expertise.
